Shopping for Flowers Online

A friend's father passed away so hubby asked me to arrange to send some flowers. I searched for an online florist and made the necessary arrangements. A mutual friend then called me to ask which florist I'd used and I told her I did it online. Surprised she said she'd never thought of looking online for a florist. Well, I had never thought of looking anywhere else for a florist. If I had to find a florist to buy flowers, I wouldn't even know where to go. It occured to me that I've become to reliant on the convenience of purchasing online floral arrangements that I no longer know how to get flowers the conventional way.

Flowers are one of those items that you don't really need to see physically to make a purchase. There is no sizes to try on for fit and what you see is generally what you get. You can't really go wrong by remote order. Choose your bouquet, write out your message, add on some chocolates or balloons or anything else, key in the delivery address, login to your account, click a button and away it goes. What could be easier than that? In fact, I think ordinary brick and mortar florists that do not offer an online service are in danger of dying out because online orders are just so much more convenient.
