A Spare Pair of Eyes

When Gavin was a toddler, he broke a pair of my glasses. With Gavin being the gentler of my two boys, I guess it was only to be expected when Gareth mangled the arm of my glasses the other day since he is so much rougher than his brother. I think the only thing that saved this pair of glasses from total destruction ws the fact that it was a lot hardier than the first pair that Gavin broke and the fact that Gavin intercepted Gareth's experiments to determine just how much torque the arm of my glasses could take before breaking off completely.

Although I managed to bend the arm back into position, I figured it was probably a good time to start thinking about getting myself another pair of glasses as a spare. While I am at it, perhaps a pair of powered sun readers too. I have never bought myself a pair of powered sunglasses in the past because I used to wear contact lenses most of the time that it didn't make sense to have powered sunglasses that I never got the chance to wear. Now that I wear glasses almost all the time, perhaps it is time. I'm sure the eye protection it offers me in the sun is also beneficial for my eyes.
